주님의 몸 된 교회가 역사 가운데 실제로 드러난 것이 바로 오순절 성령 강림 때 드러난 초대교회였다. 그 교회는 외적인 조직이나 가르침이나 제자훈련이 없었다. 딱 한 가지 예수가 그리스도라는 사실을 믿게 하시는 성령을 받았다. 이들 안에 어떤 외적인 도움 없이 참된 예배가 회복되었다. 예배당 걱정, 개척자금 걱정 하지 않았다 . 공인된 전문 성직자를 이야기할 필요가 없었다. 그들은 날마다 모이기에 힘쓰며 함께 예배하고 찬미하며 떡을 뗐다.
The Church, which is the body of Christ, was actually revealed in history during the Pentecost at the beginning of the Church. This Church had no external organization, teachings, or discipleship programs. There was only one thing: they received the Holy Spirit, who made them believe that Jesus is the Christ. Within them, true worship was restored without any external help. They did not worry about church buildings or pioneer funds. There was no need to mention certified professional clergy. They devoted themselves to meeting together every day, worshiping, praising, and breaking bread.

교회의 존귀함은 교회의 어떠함으로 확인되는 게 아니라 “교회의 머리가 누구냐, 교회의 주인이 누구냐, 교회의 주체가 누구냐”에 달려있다. 교회의 존재감은 머리가 되신 예수 그리스도에게서 나와야 한다. 예루살렘 교회가 많은 고난 중에서도 견고할 수 있었던 이유는 복음의 핵심인 예수 그리스도를 온전히 믿고 따랐기 때문이다.
The honor of the Church is not confirmed by what the Church looks like, but by "who is the head of the Church, who is the owner of the Church, and who is the subject of the Church." The Church’s sense of presence must come from Jesus Christ, the head. The reason the Jerusalem Church could stand firm despite many hardships was because they fully believed in and followed Jesus Christ, the core of the Gospel.

성령의 능력으로 예루살렘 교회에 하나님의 말씀이 점점 왕성하여 제자의 수가 심히 많아졌다. 이 약속은 지금까지 모든 먼 데 사람 곧 주 우리 하나님이 얼마든지 부르시는 자들에게 동일한 구원과 생명이 되었다. 그때의 초대교회들처럼 세상에 ‘회개하여 각각 예수 그리스도의 이름으로 세례를 받고 죄 사함을 받으라 이 패역한 세대에서 구원을 받으라’라고 담대히 복음을 전하는 교회가 되도록 기도하자.
The word of God grew increasingly powerful in the Jerusalem church through the power of the Holy Spirit, and the number of disciples greatly multiplied. This promise has become the same salvation and life for all people, including those far off, for all whom the Lord our God calls. Like the early church, let us pray to become a church that boldly proclaims the gospel: "Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and save yourselves from this corrupt generation."
예수 그리스도는 성경에 미리 약속하신 대로 육신으로 오셔서 십자가에 죽으셨고, 죽은 자들 가운데서 부활하사 능력으로 하나님의 아들로 선포되셨다. 우리를 모든 이방인 중에서 믿어 예수 그리스도의 것으로 부르심을 받은 예수교회가 되게 하셨음을 찬양하자. 이 시대에 예수교회로서 많은 고난이 기다린다 할지라도 십자가만 자랑하며 예수님을 따라가도록 기도하자.
Jesus Christ came in the flesh as promised in the Scriptures, died on the cross, and was resurrected from the dead, being declared the Son of God in power. Let us praise Him for calling us among the Gentiles to belong to Jesus Christ. Even though many trials await us as the church of Jesus Christ in this age, let us pray to boast only in the cross and follow Jesus.
2. 선교의 중심지로 드러난 안디옥 교회 The Church of Antioch Revealed as the Center of Missions
안디옥 교회는 신약 성경에서 이방인 선교의 중심지로서 중요한 역할을 담당했다. 이 교회는 예루살렘 교회와 마찬가지로 외적인 조직이나 제도에 의존하지 않았다. 오히려 성령의 인도하심에 따라 헬라인들에게 복음을 전파하며 성장했다. 성령이 그들에게 임하였고, 그들은 예수 그리스도의 복음을 믿고 모여 참된 예배를 드렸다.
The Church of Antioch played a pivotal role as the center of Gentile missions in the New Testament. Like the Church in Jerusalem, this church did not rely on external organization or systems. Rather, it grew by spreading the gospel to the Gentiles under the guidance of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit came upon them, and they gathered together to worship in truth, believing in the gospel of Jesus Christ.

The Church of Antioch was not bound by concerns about church buildings or financial issues. They fellowshiped, prayed, and received teaching by the power of the Holy Spirit. Additionally, they appointed Paul and Barnabas as missionaries, starting the mission to the Gentiles with uncontainable joy. They listened to the voice of the Holy Spirit and dedicated themselves to spreading the gospel.

Their worship and fellowship were not driven by artificial systems, but by the work of the Holy Spirit. B. 이제 말씀이 결론이 되도록 기도하겠습니다

1. 하나님께서 이방인의 선교를 위해서 안디옥 교회를 사용하실 때 성령의 충만함 가운데 인도하셨던 것처럼 오늘 우리 교회에게 성령의 충만함을 주시도록 기도하자. 그리하여 성령의 능력으로 서로 교제하며 기도하고 가르침을 받게 하시고, 인도함을 받아 모든 교회가 선교에 전부를 드려 순종하도록 기도하자.
Just as God led the church in Antioch with the fullness of the Holy Spirit to be used for the mission to the Gentiles, let us pray that God will fill our church with the Holy Spirit. May the church be led by the Holy Spirit to fellowship with one another, pray, receive teachings, and be guided to devote everything to missions in obedience.
2. 사도 바울은 죄인 중에 괴수와 같은 자기를 위해 죽으신 예수 그리스도의 은혜를 헛되이 받지 않았다. ‘보라 지금은 은혜 받을 만한 때요 보라 지금은 구원의 날이로다’라는 믿음으로 오직 모든 일에 하나님의 일꾼으로 자천하여 목숨까지 아끼지 아니하며 달려갔다. 이 일에 안디옥 교회와 여러 이방인의 교회들이 하나가 되어 예수 그리스도가 다시 오실 길을 앞당기기 위해 섬겨왔다. 이 시대에 복음을 붙든 예수교회가 성령 충만함을 받아 십자가 복음을 담대히 전하는 선교에 연합하여 순종하도록 기도하자.
The apostle Paul did not receive the grace of Jesus Christ in vain, who died for him, the worst of sinners. With the faith that "now is the time of God's favor, now is the day of salvation," Paul willingly gave himself as a servant of God, not sparing his life, but pressing forward. In this work, the Antioch church and many other Gentile churches united to serve, hastening the return of Jesus Christ. Let us pray that the church holding onto the gospel will receive the fullness of the Holy Spirit and unite in missions to boldly preach the gospel of the cross in obedience.
3. 요한계시록에 드러난 빌라델비아 교회
The Church of Philadelphia Revealed in the Book of Revelation
빌라델비아 교회에 대해 주님은 “열린 문을 가졌다”라고 하신다(계3:7-8). 역사의 주관자이신 주님께서 이 교회에 천국의 열쇠를 약속하신 것이다. 그리고 이 교회에 대해 칭찬하신 한 가지는 충성심이었다. 주님은 “네가 미약한 능력에도 불구하고 나의 말을 지켰구나”라고 말씀하셨다. 빌라델비아 교회는 바로 ‘지키는 교회’였다.
Concerning the church in Philadelphia, the Lord says, "I have set before you an open door" (Rev. 3:7-8). The Lord, the sovereign of history, promised the keys to the kingdom of heaven to this church. One thing He praised about this church was its faithfulness. The Lord said, "You have kept my word despite your little strength." The church in Philadelphia was a "keeping church."
진정한 교회란 무엇일까? 하나님의 부르심을 받은 교회란 무엇일까? 하나님의 말씀에 따라 세워진 교회, 하나님의 생명과 권능 없이는 설명할 수 없는 교회가 바로 성경이 말하는 교회이다. 주님께서 가장 영광을 받으실 때는 십자가 복음이 드러나 죄인이 새 생명을 얻고 하나님을 알게 될 때이다. 그 죄인이 “예수님, 사랑합니다”라고 고백할 때, 하나님은 감격하신다. 이는 하나님이 교회를 통해 이루고자 하시는 역사이다. 이것이 예수 그리스도의 몸 된 교회의 본질이며, 주님께서 온 세상을 충만케 하시는 방식이다.
What is a true church? What is a church called by God? A church built according to God's word, a church that cannot be explained without God's life and power, is the church spoken of in the Bible. The Lord is most glorified when the gospel of the cross is revealed, when sinners are given new life and come to know God. When that sinner confesses, "Jesus, I love You," God is moved with emotion. This is the history God desires to accomplish through the church. This is the essence of the church, the body of Jesus Christ, and the way the Lord fills the entire world.

빌라델비아 교회가 작은 능력으로도 주님의 말씀을 끝까지 지키며 순종하였다. 오늘날 교회가 이 능력을 회복하도록 기도하자. 세상의 실력이나 능력이 아니라 성경 말씀에 순종하는 능력, 주님을 향한 믿음을 끝까지 지키는 교회가 되도록 기도하자.
예수교회를 설명할 때 보이는 외적인 것이 아닌 교회의 참주인 되신 예수 그리스도로 설명되어지는 교회가 되도록 기도하자. 매순간 하나님을 향한 사랑을 고백하며 그리스도 안에서 서로 사랑하는 교회가 되어 예수님의 생명과 진리, 십자가만 자랑하는 예수교회가 되도록 기도하자.
The Philadelphia church kept and obeyed the Lord's word with even little strength. Let us pray that the church today will recover this power, not through worldly strength or ability, but through the power of obedience to the Bible’s teachings. Let us pray that the church will remain faithful to the Lord, keeping the faith in Him until the end.
When describing the Church of Jesus, let us focus not on external appearances but on the true Lord, Jesus Christ. Let us pray that we become a church that confesses love toward God at every moment, loves one another in Christ, and only boasts in the life, truth, and cross of Jesus Christ.
