A quick guide to getting from Incheon to Calaguas Island

  1. Fly to Manila, Philippines: to flight from Incheon International Airport (ICN) to Ninoy Aquino International Airport (MNL) in Manila.
  2. Travel to Daet or Paracale:
    • From Manila, take a bus to Daet or Paracale both of which are in Camarines Norte.
    • taking around 8-10 hours
    • closest regional airport: Naga Airport(20만₩)  -or- (Alternatively, can take a bus from Manila) booking buses @Superlines or Philtranco
    • and then take a van or bus to Daet or Paracale.
  3. Boat Ride to Calaguas:
    • From Paracale Port, hire a boat to Calaguas Island. The journey by boat typically takes 2 hours. Boat rental costs vary depending on the group size and type of service (private or shared). Contacting local boat operators like Paliza del Rio Tourist Inn in advance is advisable (Another option is to take a boat from Vinzons Port, though Paracale is more commonly used for access).
  4. Prepare for the Island: Since Calaguas Island is remote, bring your own snorkeling gear, food, water, and other essentials. Accommodation options on the island include simple resorts or camping on the beach.
